I hope this information will help someone out there. I have spent over 30 years in the healing ministry. I don’t think I know it all but I have learned something’s and experienced many miracles and healings in this time. As I said, I am sharing this to be a help to those in need.
Thirty years ago I heard a father say to his daughter, who was suffering from an affliction of which I can’t remember what it was, baby have faith and wait for the manifestation. Immediately the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said that it was the parent’s faith that was needed and not the child’s. When we hear voices we should check to see who is speaking and if their speaking in line with the word of God. You see people can say pretty things and things that sound spiritual but does it agree with the word of God? Can you find at least two or three witnesses in the word of God that you can base that statement on? Many times those statements are not in the bible nor do they agree with the written word of God.
So I began to study the word to see if what I heard inside of me or in my head came from God. As I studied the scriptures I found in the Old Testament that when ministry was provided for the widow’s son, God moved at the request of the prophet because it seems as though mother was not moving in faith. In the case of the woman from Shumen, her faith in God and His prophet brought deliverance for her son who had died. In the New Testament whenever we see Jesus ministering to a child, we see Him operating through the faith of the parent.
Mar 5:36 KJVA As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
Joh 4:49-50 KJVA The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. (50) Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
Mat 15:28 KJVA Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Mar 9:22-25 KJVA And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us. (23) Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth. (24) And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. (25) When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, [Thou] dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
Now there are instances where it looks like God moved in His sovereignty because there is no mention of faith from the parent. The widow’s son raised from the dead is an example. If we were to draw a conclusion on this matter, we have to conclude that the faith of the parent is need when ministering to a child. Spiritual and civil authority comes into play here.
I was ministering to a teenager who was suffering with pain all her life from scoliosis. I rebuked the spirit and commanded the spine to straighten and the pain to leave in the name of Jesus. Because I do operate in the gift of working of miracles, I see hundreds of people instantly healed. I ask the girl to check for pain. She replied that there was no change. After the third attempt, because I never give up when the Spirit is pressing me to push forward, someone pointed out that her dad was standing in the audience. I told him that I needed him to release his faith for his daughter and he agreed. I prayed again and the spine went strait, the pain left and she was totally healed in Jesus name and by the power of the Spirit.
Over the past 31 years I have had more success in ministering to children through the faith of the parent because I believe the pattern is set in the word of God. Again, I pray that this information helps. If your faith is not developed to where you can receive instant deliverance for the child then get the child to the doctor and work on building your faith. Please don’t let the child suffer.
